  1. I was wondering, I have been reading and tin can find cypher definitive. Can yous simply convert the APX in 9 to .40S&W with a full slide, barrel, recoil spring, and mags?

    Thanks.

  2. Maybe ask at the Beretta forum? Info nearly an unpopular 9mm being converted to an unpopular caliber may be a tough ask.
  3. I don't think the extractor would function properly going from 9m to twoscore. I call up a full slide associates would exist needed,
  4. " Tin you but convert the APX in ix to .40S&Due west with a total slide, barrel, recoil spring, and mags?"

Are APX slides and barrels reasonably priced? A whole new pistol may exist cheaper.
  6. Oh cripes. My error. I missed the slide function in the OP. It's been a long day.

    Sorry gents.

  7. The trigger assembly is removeable and is the serial numbered part and is considered to be the "firearm" -------pretty sure everything else tin be changed as long equally you take the correct parts.

A whole new gun would probably be cheaper though.

  8. Bud'south is selling a make new Beretta APX in 40S&W for $337 shipped.

    https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/33384/beretta+united states+jaxf421+apx+single/double+action+twoscore+southward&westward+425+fifteen+1+black+interchangeable+b

I would gather that a butt, complete slide, recoil spring, and a couple of magazines would price more than that.

  9. That'south what crossed my mind, since y'all'd be ownership major parts out of the parts department, it would probably be cheaper to buy something that was born a .40 cal.
  10. I was just curious to run across if I could get all I needed to convert my APX in ix to 40 for less than a new gun, that appears to non exist the case.
  11. Even SIG's xchange kits for the 320 cost almost as much as a new gun and they annunciate the ability to switch calibers, then I'd have to agree it would be cheaper just to buy a forty APX.
  12. I used to be in the motorcycle biz back in the very early 80's and if I had a nickel for every time someone asked me almost a "basket case Harley" I could purchase a big coffee at Starbucks. Maybe even with a scone on the side. Affair was, in those cases every bit in what you were considering is the price of what you'd have to buy in order to achieve your goal. If you lot priced anything out of the parts department, even bearing in mind yous are saving all the labor of the finished production, y'all'll spend two - 3 times the cost of the finished good.
